NRG's UHMW-PE or nylon set collars are used to position free wheeling sprockets on collector idler shafts, keeping idler sprockets from horizontal travel while spinning. These non-metallic sprocket set collars are split for easy installation and have either set screws or band clamps to keep them secured to idler shafts. Heavy duty cast iron set collars are placed flush with wall bearings to maintain alignment of the steel shafting. Also split, cast iron shaft/bearing collars can be used as sprocket set collars when using metal sprockets. All set collars are furnished with stainless steel hardware or band clamps.
