Test Conditions:
Chain Tested: NM720-CS, 6" Pitch
6 links, 3' total

Testing Procedure:
NRG NM-720S chain links were tested using six (6) links per test assembly . The links are attached to the test fixture so load was applied to the outside barrel. A 500 lb. preload was applied and then the Load was applied at a constant crosshead speed of 0.2 inches per minute and deflection reading were taken every 500 lbs until a minimum Working Load (3100 lbs) was obtained. LOAD vs. ELONGATION graphs were plotted for each test.

Test Results:
Testing was witnessed and certified by an independent P.E. A chart of the percent elongation is presented below.
TEST NO. TEST DATE % ELONGATION (at W.L.)
1 11/26/96 0.85%
2 11/26/96 0.88%
